The Firm

The law firm was established in 1994. Operating since 2004 as Lopes Dias & Associados, RL, the law firm changed its designation to CMBa | Cardo, Morais, Borges – Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL, from June 2017.
Since its beginning, it has developed activities both for Portuguese and foreign clients. The law firm is a member of international associations and networks.
The firm’s expertise is mainly focused on the industries of TMT, Life Sciences and Distribution, covering matters of Corporate, M&A, Insolvency, IP, Regulatory, Data Protection, E-Commerce, Public Procurement, Labour and Litigation. The law firm’s clientele includes a relevant number of subsidiaries of some of the largest and most dynamic players in TMT and Life Sciences operating in Portugal (including service providers, manufacturers or distributors in their respective fields)
The international dimension of the partners practice enables the law firm to guide both domestic and multinational companies through whatever competitive issues they are faced with, regardless of their scale or multijurisdictional complexity.
